VMware Technology Alliance Partner members can develop their products to meet VMware standards and submit them for test and review. The VMware Ready certification tests are specifically designed for each category to ensure customer confidence. Products that meet VMware Ready requirements will display the VMware Ready logo. These products are jointly supported by both the Partner and VMware.

VMware Ready Categories

End-User Computing

VMware Ready for End-User Computing provides certifications for Partner products with VMware Horizon - Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). The partner products include Horizon Thin Clients, Horizon Turnkey Appliances, Horizon Proven Storage for VDI Capacity.



VMware provides information on how to achieve VMware Ready levels and attain the different VMware Ready Categories.


End-User Computing category includes Thin Client, Turnkey Appliance (Rapid Desktop), Proven Storage.

Horizon Cloud Service

Partners certify their Thin Client or equivalent product with Horizon Cloud on Azure to confirm compatibility, joint support, promote the product and increase market awareness.
Thin Client Program

Management and Orchestration

Tools for management and orchestration of virtualized environments will enable partners to track and optimize performance, implement flexible integration and automation solutions, reduce overhead in system-wide updates and minimize day-to-day administrative and routine maintenance activities.


VMware provides information on how to achieve VMware Ready levels and attain the different VMware Ready Categories.


Management and Orchestration category includes CIM.

Networking and Security

Networking and security solutions are integral components of building agile and secure virtual datacenters. Partner solutions integrated with VMware products deliver security, compliance and advanced networking to help customers leverage their existing investments in network and security solutions, while dramatically improving operational efficiency and agility in their datacenter.

VMware provides information on how to achieve VMware Ready levels and attain the different VMware Ready Categories.

Networking and Security includes EPSEC, NetX and NSX.

Platform and Compute

The virtualization of platform and compute resources enables customers to significantly reduce the time it takes to provision custom, multi-tier network topologies and enterprise-class services (from weeks to seconds), cut operating and capital expenditures and increase deployment flexibility.

Platform and Compute includes Server Certification, IOVP, Hardware Support Manager (HSM) and vSGA.

Storage

The VMware® Ready™ for Storage program enables partners to develop and certify new plug-ins and storage devices, or update existing ones based on availability of new APIs and versions of VMware products. Storage partners can integrate and validate advanced solutions with vSphere, including disaster recovery, multipathing, offload capabilities and storage management.

Storage includes Storage Certification, VAAI, and SRM.

vSAN

The VMware® Ready™ for vSAN program offers partners a set of tools, resources and processes needed to certify File Services or Data Protection products with VMware vSAN storage.


VMware provides information on how to achieve VMware Ready levels and attain the different VMware Ready Categories.

vSAN includes Backup/Data Protection, File Services.

Telco Cloud Infrastructure

The VMware® Ready™ Telco Cloud Infrastructure program offers partners an opportunity to validate compatibility of their Virtual Network Function (VNF) with the VMware Telco Cloud Infrastructure product suite.

Telco Cloud Infrastructure includes VNF onboarding and deployment, day-0 configuration and operations, NFVI & VIM operations and VNF decommissioning.

Telco Cloud

The VMware® Ready™ Telco Cloud program offers partners an opportunity to validate the orchestration of their Virtual Network Function (VNF) or Containerized Network Function (CNF) with the VMware Telco Cloud Automation and the interoperability with VMware Telco Cloud Platform.

Telco Cloud includes VNF/CNF packaging and automatic onboarding and Life Cycle Management (LCM) operations.

VMware Sovereign Clouds

VMware® Ready™ for Sovereign Clouds enable cloud providers with solutions and services that are Sovereign Cloud Ready and certified by VMware Sovereign Cloud ecosystem partners.  These Sovereign Cloud capabilities are tested and validated on VMware Cloud verified Sovereign stack by the ISVs and offer a fully tested solution to meet customer data sovereignty needs.

The VMware® Ready™ for Partner Business Application Program enables Independent Software Vendors (ISV) to engage with VMware to certify their Partner Software on products in the VMware Tanzu portfolio.
